Advanced Intermediates
Jubilant Organosys manufactures and markets Pyridine and its
derivatives, leveraging its backward and forward integration process
supported by world scale manufacturing facilities that are ISO 9000,
ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified.
The Company’s products are approved by more than 275 global
pharma, agro and other industrial customers, who rely on the Company’s
consistent quality and services. Their trust and support has enabled
the Company to achieve global leadership in this product.
Pyridine
Pyridine, a basic organic chemical, has certain chemical properties
like receptiveness to chemical ions that makes it useful in a wide
range of chemical reactions.
It is a versatile building block and excellent solvent in
agrochemical, pharmaceutical and other industries. It is completely
soluble in water, alcohol, ether and benzene. It acts as an acid
scavenger and can catalyze reactions. The major use of Pyridine is
for conversion to bipyridyl compound for agrochemicals. Brominated,
Chlorinated and hydrogenated Pyridine and many other Pyridine
derivatives are popular intermediates for many reactions.

Fine Chemicals
Jubilant’s Fine Chemicals business offers about 165 products
developed through in-house R&D. These are mainly Pyridine and
Piperidine based intermediates which find application in about 250
APIs and 50 Agrochemicals.
Jubilant holds globally No.1 position in Amino Pyridines, Lutidines
and Collidines and for most of the other products, it enjoys a
leading position in the global market.
Over the last 10 years, the Fine Chemicals business has been
granted 28 process patents in various countries including India,
Japan and PCT Union.
Sixty products have already been commercialised and are being
supplied to about 145 customers globally. These customers include
Innovator and Generic Pharma and Agro companies, and other Fine and
Speciality Chemical companies.
Fine Chemical Products are produced in India at seven multipurpose
manufacturing plants at Gajraula, UP and two multipurpose plants at
Ambernath, Maharashtra.

By capitalising on the scientific expertise and knowledge resident

These processes are developed with emphasis on being
environment friendly, scalability, ease of operation and process
robustness. Jubilant often makes use of statistical Design of

Custom Manufacturing (Intermediates & APIs):
The Company takes up manufacturing projects of developmental
products in Clinical phase as well as of in-market products from a
few Kilograms to several Metric ton quantities on a regular basis.
The business handles projects having:
