Our efforts in developing innovative technologies for intermediates and fine chemicals have been well recognized through Sir PC Ray Award in 2004 and 2008 and DSIR award in 2004 for inhouse development of ingenious technology.

Jubilant today has global leadership in pyridine and its derivatives which are used as solvents, basic building blocks and advance intermediates with wide application in Pharmaceuticals and Agrochemicals. Pyridine technology was not available off the shelf hence the company invested significantly in developing the chemistry and then scaling it up for manufacturing through efficient process design & engineering innovation. As a result it managed to weed out inefficiencies, today its Pyridine process is probably the most optimized and efficient process in the world.

The consistent effort of Jubilant’s R&D in vapour phase chemistry and catalysis has consolidated the global position of Jubilant in Pyridine and its derivatives as one of the largest manufacturer and fastest growing player. The Company is also targeting the Oncology segment for APIs based on Pyridine chemistry. Jubilant provides a range of advance intermediates comprising pyridine and its derivatives, leveraging its backward and forward integration supported by world scale manufacturing capabilities.

Similarly Jubilant has also developed state of art catalyst for ammoxidation to produce 3 Cyano Pyridine ( 3CP) out of Beta Picoline & has commercialized it successfully. It is the largest merchant seller of 3 CP globally and holds a process patent for the same.

The Company at present commands the 3rd largest market share in Niacin and Niacinamide globally. This has been made possible through an innovative, cost efficient as well as most environment friendly process developed by our scientists. Jubilant is the only manufacturer in the world of Niacinamide with complete backward integration to the basic feed stock level. Jubilant is also the largest producer of Beta Picoline in the world, which is a critical raw material for production of Vitamin B3.

The Company is also in the process of setting up a 10,000 TPA facility for Niacinamide and 3 – Cyano Pyridine respectively which is expected to be functional by end of 2010. Once ready it will make Jubilant as the world’s one of the largest producer of Niacinamide with full backward integration.
